As the operator of Yarra Trams, we bring our international expertise to Melbourne to ensure we deliver safer, more reliable passenger services and performance, while increasing the value of the tram network for Melburnians and the thousands of visitors to our city every day.

To support this, Yarra Trams requires the services of an experienced Leadership Development Advisor to work as an internal consultant developing and implementing a strategic approach to leadership development; that enhances leadership capability and improves performance.

What the role entails
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Leadership Development Advisor to improve individual and organization performance through developing Leadership capability; skill, knowledge and behaviours aligned to our People & Leadership Framework.

Reporting to Learning & Development Manager, the role involves:
• Partnering with stakeholders to diagnose, develop and facilitate leadership and behavioural development initiatives;
• Providing advice, support and coaching to People Managers on all aspects of best practice people management;
• Developing a coaching culture across the organization to drive behavioural change, increasing leadership capability and engagement;
• Managing and leading 360 feedback activity, facilitating reports to individuals drawing out common themes and development actions;
• Provide specialist advice and guidance to managers and senior leaders to enable the design of comprehensive induction and onboarding plans for individuals within the management population.

What you will need for this role:
• Knowledge and experience of Leadership Development, Capability Frameworks and Organizational Development;
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology or Organizational Development or relevant industry experience;
• Demonstrable experience in consultation and diagnosing of development needs of individuals, teams and functions;
• Demonstrable experience in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning solutions across different levels of leadership;
• Advanced coaching, facilitation and consulting skills with the ability to foster effective workplace relationships across all levels of leadership;
• Accreditation in MBTI, DISC or other psychometrics and behavioural tools;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong computer-based skills.
