To deliver on their vision, Keolis Downer requires the services of an experienced Bid Director to plan, schedule and market existing and new public transport services to meet contract specifications and customer demand.

What the role entails
This position is a great opportunity for an experienced Bid Director to deliver all aspects of the offer (technical, financial, commercial/legal) and manage the governance and shareholder approval process to allow the submission of a winning bid.

Reporting to the Head of Project Management Office, the role involves:
• Assembling and leading the bid team;
• Leading the pre-tender work to understand the opportunity, develop a win strategy, develop a bid budget, and identify the resource needs (both internal and external) to be able to effectively respond;
• Working on the strategy for the tender response and shaping the win themes;
• Managing the governance: Bid Steering Committee, Shareholders governance (Keolis Committees, Downer Committees, Keolis Downer Board) in coordination with the Keolis Downer Platform Management;
• Leading the review process: quality, price, external review, corporate independent review.

What you will need for this role
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Strong experience in tender processed for heavy rail O&M passenger transport services in a project director / project manager / workstream leader role;
• Proven public transport operations experience, preferably heavy rail and/or multi-modal transport services
• Demonstrable ability to lead a team and provide vision;
• Strong ability to engage and communicate with staff at all levels and build strong working relationships;
• Competence in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
