As the operator of Yarra Trams, we bring our international expertise to Melbourne to ensure we deliver safer, more reliable passenger services and performance, while increasing the value of the tram network for Melburnians and the thousands of visitors to our city every day.

To support this, Yarra Trams requires the services of an experienced Design and Production Controller to assist in coordinating and designing the outputs, standards and workflow of design, print, production and campaign services.

What the role entails
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Production Controller to maintain a strong brand image and quality production standards for Yarra Trams.

Reporting to the Team Manager, Brand & Production, the role involves:
• Coordinating design and production of outputs for print, digital and campaign services to appropriate specifications;
• Managing the traffic and workflow of Creative Services requests;
• Designing collateral and preparing finished art for the needs of the organisation;
• Monitoring quality control of design and printed materials;
• Taking briefs from and liaising with internal clients and stakeholders regarding design requests;
• Supporting the development of creative campaigns and outputs;
• Undertaking administrative tasks related to quotes, invoices and purchase orders;
• Participating in and supporting the delivery of projects where required.

What you will need for this role
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Tertiary qualification in graphic design, marketing or related discipline or equivalent experience;
• Sound knowledge of print production processes and graphic design principles;
• Proven experience in undertaking work in alignment with corporate style guides;
• Competence in the use of relevant graphic design programs (e.g. Adobe creative suite) and Microsoft Office in Apple iOS;
• Experience in taking briefs and scheduling tasks to meet business critical deadlines;
• Experience in liaison with and development of briefs to third parties such as external creative agencies;
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to pro-actively resolve issues;
• Strong written and verbal communications skills to ensure effective communication with all levels of the business.
