To deliver on their vision, Keolis Downer requires the services of an experienced Operations Workstream Leader to plan, schedule and market existing and new public transport services to meet contract specifications and customer demand.

What the role entails
The Operations Workstream Leader owns the plans for operating the public transport network in our bid response, then preparing operations during mobilisation and finally supporting the transition period. This includes coordinating operations planning, scheduling and rostering, costing, operational readiness, recruitment and training.

Reporting to the Head of Project Management Office, the role involves:
• Leading the operations workstream: operations planning, scheduling and rostering, operational performance, IT & systems;
• Interfacing with other workstreams (HSQE, customer experience, maintenance, HR, commercial and finance, legal) and other partners as required;
• Journey time, timetable and roster optimization;
• Defining, writing and reviewing the bid operations plan;
• Developing the initial operating and business continuity plan;
• Managing the budget for the operations department for the duration of the contract;
• Ensuring that deliverables are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
• Working on the strategy for the tender response and shaping the win themes.

What you will need for this role
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Proven operational and/or bid experience;
• Strong bid preparation experience;
• Proven contract management experience;
• An analytical mindset and ability to listen;
• Proven ability to engage and communicate with staff at all levels and build strong working relationships;
• An innovative and autonomous approach to work;
• Competence in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Project Management Tools (MS Projects or equivalent).
